Animated emotions on Facebook: From the last few months you must have seen lots of animated emotion on your news feed, shared by different people through different pages or apps. If you dig further and go on that page and check the info section of that page it will say “Don’t ask how we do it just share it” or something like that, but the problem is you can only share the status of pages on your wall and if you want to customize your own status either you have to request on their discussion forum or you have to use other third party apps like “emoji Status” etc.
What are these emotions: Actually these emotions are called “emoji” its is the Japanese term for the picture characters or emotions used in Japanese electronic messages and WebPages.
How to use these emotions on Facebook: Facebook doesn't allow you to copy and paste these characters into you wall, you may copy these animated emotions from some else's status but you can't customize them, for customization you have to use this party apps like “emoji status” or other apps, but the problem with theses apps are: first the Facebook has banned many of these apps because they don’t want to populate the Facebook with strange emotions, the second is it will show your status update like that “status via appname” which most of us don’t want. Now you have two choices either you can go on different sites which allow you to updates your status with emoji via your desired app or you can use my method to update you status via your desired app.
To add Emoji without installing any app on Facebook follow theses steps: 1. First choose the emotion from
here (emotions are not explained) and copy the character (the strange code) or go to
this site and select the emotion you want and customize it (you can also use this site to updates you status via different apps but sometimes they don’t work) 2. Now copy your status with these strange characters and put the following url in your browser's address bar or just click on it
http://www.facebook.com/dialog/feed?%20app_id=209679505768677&%20redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/ here I am using my own customize app id to post on my profile but you can use your desired app or you can create your own app to update your status you have to only change the application id. Like if you want to updates your status via “Facebook Mobile” you have to use this application id “6628568379” replacing the above id as shown below.
http://www.facebook.com/dialog/feed?%20app_id=6628568379&%20redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com/ 3. After putting the above code in your address bar you will see a popup will appears which will ask you to post something on your wall as shown below

You have to just paste your desired status update with emotion code in it and click on “share”. You will now see these emotions on your wall or news feed. You can also use these strange codes in your about and quotation section of your profile to show emotions without any app, to do this you have to just copy and paste these codes into about or quotation section of your profile. This is all we have I hope you will like it!
Hello, thank you for sharing this, but it's not working...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, do you know how to send image gif to photo descripition like this page:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/%E0%B2%8C-%E0%B2%8C-My-SweET-ParaDE-%E0%B2%8C-%E0%B2%8C/147359038676833
Don't Know why its not working for you as you can see these emotions in my profile's quotation and about section. Now the page you have mentioned has used the app to add iframe tab and its easy to do all these in iframe tab, but for that you have to make your own app or you can use apps like Static HTML: iframe tabs.
ReplyDeleteThese emotions are not working anymore i think Facebook has banned them, the pages which are using these emotions like FB art 2share are also unable to post but they are working in their notes section.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why I can get emotions and animations on windows live and yahoo but,I can't get the emotion bar on on my facebook account. Can you help?
